French player returns to secondary circuit

Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, a 23-year-old French tennis player who plays with his right hand, is competing in the Bratislava 2 Challenger in Slovakia. He has faced challenges on the main tennis circuit and has returned to the secondary circuit to rebuild his confidence, stepping away from the high-profile Rolex Paris Masters.

Qualifying rounds secured his spot

Mpetshi Perricard had to go through qualifying rounds to enter the main draw of the Bratislava 2 Challenger. He won his matches against Yanis Ghazouani-Durand (6-4, 6-4) this Sunday and against Sebastian Sorger (6-3, 5-7, 7-6[6]) this Tuesday to secure his place in the main draw.

First-round opponent confirmed

In the first round of the main draw, Mpetshi Perricard will face the Czech player Martin Krumich. If he performs well, the Lyon native could potentially meet other French players in later rounds, including Sascha Gueymard Wayemburg, who could meet him in the quarterfinals.

Other French players in the draw

Another French player, Lucas Poullain, also qualified for the main draw and will face Jérôme Kym in his first match. If Poullain wins, he could meet Luka Pavlovic in the second round, following Pavlovic's victory over Alexander Shevchenko (n°5) with a score of 6-3, 4-6, 6-4.
