Six books have been chosen for the 10th edition of the À Livre ou Verre Prize, a literary award that blends reading with wine tasting. This year, the independent bookstores Mémoire 7 (Clamart), Point de côté (Suresnes), and Nouvelle & Cie (Bois-Colombes) are continuing their partnership for the 10th year in a row. Their customers are invited to participate in the prize by attending events that include author meetings, autograph sessions, and tastings of natural wines. The event is organized in collaboration with the local winery Capsule (Clamart). The six competing books are De l'autre côte du lac by Sylvain Prudhomme (Minuit), La Méthode by David Djaïz (Stock), Les Agitées by Camille Zabka (La Tribu), Rouges-Truites by Pierric Bailly (POL), Un marché noir by Bérénice Pichat (Les Avrils), and Ce qui se joue by Caroline Hinault (Rouergue). Each book will be featured at one of the participating bookstores, where authors will meet readers and sign copies. These events will be followed by a tasting of natural wines. The schedule includes De l'autre côte du lac at Mémoire 7 on Wednesday, October 14, 2026; La Méthode at Point de côté on Wednesday, November 4, 2026; Les Agitées at Nouvelle & Cie on Tuesday, November 24, 2026; Rouges-Truites at Mémoire 7 on Wednesday, December 9, 2026; Un marché noir at Point de côté on Wednesday, January 13, 2027; and Ce qui se joue at Nouvelle & Cie on Wednesday, February 3, 2027. The jury will vote on the favorite book among the six in late February, and the winner will be announced on March 10, 2027. The opening event outside of the competition took place on Wednesday, September 23, at the bookstore Nouvelle & Cie in Bois-Colombes. It was attended by Lilia Hassaine, the winner of the 2024 À Livre ou Verre Prize. The 2026 winner was Séverine Cressan for her novel Nourrices (Dalva). The books in contention were published between August 19 and August 27, 2026, with page counts ranging from 200 to 416 pages and prices from 20.50 € to 23.00 €. The À Livre ou Verre Prize continues to highlight new literary talent while offering a unique experience for readers and wine enthusiasts.
