Benjamin Sesko gave an update on his health after starting for the first time this season in Manchester United’s 4-0 Champions League win against Sabah. The Slovenian forward confirmed that his previous shin injury is now fully healed, describing the affected area as "perfect." Sesko had previously only appeared as a substitute in United’s last three matches, as the club carefully reintroduced him to match action after he missed much of pre-season. He explained that the decision to delay his first start was made to prevent the injury from worsening and that waiting a bit longer proved to be the right choice. Sesko had missed the end of his first season at Manchester United due to the same shin issue, which he partly attributed to overexertion on his own part. Despite this setback, he scored 12 goals in his debut campaign after joining the club in a £66 million transfer from RB Leipzig. Looking ahead to his second season, he expressed greater confidence and noted that adapting to a new country and environment had initially been challenging, but he is now enjoying his time at the club. Sesko revealed that Manchester United had shown interest in him when he was just 16 years old, but he decided against joining them at that time. He felt the move from Austria or Slovenia to one of the world’s biggest clubs was too big of a step for him back then. He emphasized the value of taking things gradually and developing as a player before making such a significant move. Now, as he continues to build his career at Old Trafford, Sesko is focused on contributing to the team’s success while maintaining his health and confidence.
