For the winter season of 2026-2027, MMV, a major player in the French Alps' tourism and hospitality sector, is continuing to expand its presence through new developments and renovations. A key part of this strategy is the opening of Daffy, the company’s first hotel lifestyle brand. Set to open in December 2026 in Briançon, Daffy will be located in a restored former military barracks. The hotel will be easily accessible via the Prorel gondola, with a walk or shuttle taking about eight minutes. Designed with inspiration from the 1990s and the sports world, Daffy will feature 51 rooms and 33 apartments, operating throughout the year. The hotel will include a large restaurant, La Cantine, covering 600 square meters with 150 seats and a terrace for 50 people. Lunch options will start at 19 euros, while the Buvette will serve as the evening social space. The hotel will also have three meeting rooms that can host up to 150 people, focusing on events such as seminars, team-building activities, and incentives. Alongside Daffy, MMV is expanding its Terrésens residences, a line of premium accommodations. Since 2024, Terrésens has grown from 11 to 14 locations, with three new additions for the winter of 2026-2027: Les Balcons de Juliette in Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe, La Perle d'Alba in Alpe d'Huez, and Le Caprice Blanc in La Toussuire. These residences cater to guests seeking luxury, offering apartments that can be as large as 250 to 300 square meters and accommodate up to 12 people. Additional services include concierge assistance, heated ski lockers, parking, and wellness areas. This expansion reflects MMV's broader strategy to diversify its offerings and meet the needs of high-end travelers. For the winter of 2027, MMV plans to offer more than 15,000 beds across the French Alps under its MMV and Terrésens brands. This growth is accompanied by the continued development of the company's existing network. One notable project is the reopening of Plagne 2000, a popular ski resort that will see the renovation of some of its rooms. The resort is also updating its entertainment options with live music performances and Comedy Clubs, aiming to attract a wider range of visitors. MMV’s ongoing efforts highlight its commitment to both expanding its footprint and enhancing the guest experience in the French Alps. With a total of 21 Villages and Residences Clubs across 16 different stations, the company is positioning itself as a key player in the region's tourism industry, offering a variety of accommodations and services for different types of travelers.
