RC Lens, a French football club competing in this season’s UEFA Champions League, will begin its European campaign with a challenging away match against Slavia Prague. The game is set to take place on Thursday evening and marks Lens’s first appearance in the prestigious competition this season. As one of three French teams in the Champions League, Lens is aiming to make a strong impression in its debut match. Slavia Prague, a dominant force in Czech football, has won the domestic league twice and is currently leading the Czech First League after seven matches, with five victories to its name. The team has shown strong form this season, defeating several notable opponents and maintaining a high level of performance throughout the campaign. This makes them a formidable challenge for Lens on their home turf. Lens, however, faces a tough start to its Champions League journey after a recent 0-1 loss to Lorient in a domestic match, which exposed some weaknesses in their gameplay. The team will need to address these issues quickly if they are to compete effectively against a well-prepared and confident Slavia Prague side. The match will be broadcast live, with updates expected around 8:30 pm. Fans and football enthusiasts around the world will be watching closely to see how Lens performs in its first European match of the season.
