The Prix de la Page 111 is a unique literary award that focuses on the 111th page of books. Established in 2012 by Richard Gaitet and Radio Nova, the prize highlights the significance of this specific page in each selected work. For its 2026 edition, a jury of literary experts chose six books based on their 111th pages. The jury, coordinated by Marie Bonnisseau, included members such as Alexandre Bord, Amandine Labansat, Gilles Marchand, Flora Moricet, and Camille Tomasicchio. All evaluations were done anonymously to ensure impartiality. The six books selected for the 2026 Prix de la Page 111 are Darya & Dounya by Diaty Diallo (Éditions du Seuil), Viser juste by Adèle Haenel (L’Arche), La Peau neuve by Jean-Pierre Montal (Éditions Séguier), À voix haute by Polina Panassenko (Éditions de l’Olivier), Un ange passe by Camille Pelletier (Le Nouvel Attila), and Bungalow by Antoine Philias (Éditions Asphalte). Each of these works will be evaluated based on the content of their 111th page, a unique and somewhat whimsical criterion for literary recognition. The winner of the Prix de la Page 111 will be announced on November 11, 2026, at 20:11 in the hold of the Anako barge in Paris. The prize includes a framed and signed copy of the selected page, along with a monetary award of 1.11 euros, paid in 111 one-cent coins. In addition to the main prize, a Public Prize and a Prisoners' Prize in partnership with Besançon prison will also be awarded, highlighting the award's engagement with diverse audiences. This award follows the 2025 prize, which was given to Hélène Laurain for the 111th page of Tambora (Verdier). The Public Prize in 2025 was awarded to auror.404 for the 111th page of Maisons d'enfance (Burn~Août). The Prix de la Page 111 continues to draw attention for its creative and unconventional approach to literary appreciation.
