Free rides for disabled visitors in Meaux

In Meaux, people with disabilities will have free access to rides at the local fair on Wednesday as part of a solidarity initiative. The event, known as "les forains ont du cœur," will offer free rides on Place Henri-IV from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. on October 28, specifically for individuals with disabilities.

Solidarity action continues annually

This initiative is not new for Meaux, as it has been repeated regularly at each major edition of the fair. The free access for people with disabilities was first implemented in 2023 and has continued in subsequent years, showing a consistent commitment to inclusivity.

Special accommodations for autism

In 2025, the fair organizers took the initiative further by creating a calm environment for people with autism to enjoy the rides. This effort demonstrated an increased focus on providing tailored experiences for different needs within the disabled community.

First fundraiser for a charitable cause

This year, the fair organizers introduced a new element: a financial collection. The fundraiser included personal donations and a portion of the fair's revenue, allowing them to present a 1,000 euro check to the Association Vaincre le Cancer Solidairement (Avacs) on October 19.

Other towns participate in the initiative

Several other municipalities in the Seine-et-Marne department have also joined the "les forains ont du cœur" operation. Villeparisis, for example, planned priority slots and free places for disabled visitors during their fair between late February and early March.

Versailles includes neighborhood children

In Versailles, the initiative is open to children from neighborhood houses, who can use the attractions on the Europe parking free of charge for the fourth consecutive year. This event will take place on Thursday, October 29.
