CHUWI, a Chinese technology company, has introduced the UniBox AI495 Pro at IFA Berlin 2026, a compact desktop computer that combines AMD's Ryzen AI MAX+ PRO 495 chip with an unusually high memory capacity of up to 192GB. This is comparable to the latest Apple workstation models and is notable for its performance in handling complex computing tasks. The machine features an X Frame design, which gives it a cylindrical appearance reminiscent of Apple’s older Mac Pro models, despite its small size.
The UniBox AI495 Pro is powered by AMD's Ryzen AI MAX+ PRO 495 processor, which has 16 cores and 32 threads, with a boost speed of up to 5.2 GHz. It uses AMD's Zen 5 architecture and is paired with Radeon 8065S graphics featuring 40 cores based on the RDNA 3.5 architecture. The graphics processor can operate at up to 3,000 MHz, and the system’s memory uses a 256-bit interface with a bandwidth of 273 GB/s. Up to 160GB of this memory can be allocated to the graphics processor, far exceeding the memory typically available on standard desktop GPUs.
CHUWI claims the UniBox AI495 Pro can run large language models with up to 300 billion parameters using 4-bit quantization, which reduces the computational load while maintaining performance. Its AI platform can deliver up to 131 TOPS (trillion operations per second), with the XDNA 2 neural processor contributing 55 TOPS. Despite its powerful hardware, the machine is compact, measuring approximately 2.9 liters in volume. It also includes three M.2 2280 PCIe ×4 slots for up to 2TB of storage, and features Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, two 10Gbps Ethernet ports, and two USB4 ports that support data transfer speeds of up to 40Gbps.
While CHUWI has not yet announced the price of the UniBox AI495 Pro, other companies like Acemagic, GMKtek, and Framework have released similar mini PCs with the same Ryzen AI MAX+ PRO 495 processor and 192GB of RAM, with those systems expected to cost over $2,000. This gives an indication that the UniBox AI495 Pro may be priced in a similar range when it becomes available.
CHUWI is also launching the UniBox AI395, which uses AMD's Ryzen AI MAX+ 395 processor with 16 cores and 32 threads, reaching up to 5.1 GHz. It pairs this with Radeon 8060S graphics, which feature 40 RDNA 3.5 cores and a clock speed of up to 2,900 MHz. The AI395 supports up to 128GB of memory with a bandwidth of 256 GB/s and can allocate up to 96GB for graphics processing. It can run local models with up to 235 billion parameters using low-bit formats and offers up to 126 TOPS of AI performance. Both models share the same compact design, 2TB storage support, 240W power supply, Windows 11 Pro, and dual 10Gbps Ethernet ports.
