Theatrical production explores poverty and social issues

Au secours la réalité, a theatrical production by Julia Vidit, examines themes of poverty and social injustice through a series of scenes set on a platform made of planks. The platform is decorated with colorful posters and symbols created by painter Benoit Bonnemaison-Fitte, adding visual depth to the performance.

Performance features beggars and symbolic elements

The production features a group of beggars seeking to be noticed, guiding the audience through a maze of paper. This includes scenes behind many doors, on a bench, and on the edge of a dirty sidewalk, where characters are depicted as fighting for survival. The performance includes rituals and the summoning of ghosts, performed by four clowns aiming to dispel poverty through their art.

Musical and poetic elements enhance the performance

The musical compositions are by Louis Warynski, known by the alias Chapelier Fou. The production includes speech that is both sharp and poetic, allowing for moments of play and reflection. The collaboration between Julia Vidit and author Marilyn Mattei aims to shift perspectives on social injustice.
