Event date and location

The first Witch's Market will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 10 am to 6 pm in the Vieil Alès, a historic district in the city center of Alès.

Event organizers and purpose

Organized by a local merchants' association, the market aims to create a warm and family-friendly atmosphere centered around nature, plants, craftsmanship, indulgence, and imagination.

Market features and attractions

The Vieil Alès will be decorated for the occasion, offering visitors a chance to explore the neighborhood from a new perspective. The market will showcase handcrafted items such as scented candles, jewelry, resin creations, natural stones, dried flowers, decorative objects, embroidery, textile creations, and crocheting.

Fantasy elements and food offerings

Handmade witches and fantastic creatures will be featured alongside plants and an artisan selling liqueurs made from plants and fruits, styled as potions. The market will emphasize indulgence with bakeries, pastries, cookies, brownies, homemade jams, apple and pear juices, and traditional crepes or chestnut flour crepes.

Special treats and community goals

Candies will be given to children, with some surprises included. The organizers hope the event will bring a convivial and original experience while encouraging visitors to explore the neighborhood's streets and shops.
