ASUS launches special edition mini-PC

ASUS has released a special edition of its ROG NUC 16 mini-PC called the Phantom Blade Zero, which is being sold alongside the action RPG of the same name, set to launch on October 29, 2026.

Technical specs remain unchanged

The Phantom Blade Zero retains the same technical specifications as the standard ROG NUC 16, including a powerful Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus processor paired with either an RTX 5080 16 GB or an RTX 5070 12 GB graphics card. These are mobile versions of Nvidia’s dedicated graphics cards, chosen to fit the compact design.

Design features game-themed elements

The mini-PC has the same dimensions as the standard model—282.5 × 189.5 × 56.5 mm—and a total volume of about 3 liters. The Phantom Blade Zero edition features a red and black color scheme with a translucent design, including patterns and the silhouette of the main character from the game under the ROG logo.

High-end storage and connectivity

The device supports up to 128 GB of DDR5 RAM and two SSDs, with options for RAID storage configurations. The SO-DIMM and M.2 NVMe modules can be replaced without tools, and it includes Wi-Fi 7, Thunderbolt 4, USB-A, HDMI, and 2.5Gb Ethernet connectivity. Cooling is handled by three fans and a vapor chamber.

Price range and previous editions

ASUS has not yet announced the price for the Phantom Blade Zero in Europe, but based on current listings, it is expected to cost between 3300 and 4200 euros. This is not the first special edition of the ROG NUC 16, as ASUS previously released a 20th-anniversary version featuring an even more powerful RTX 5090 graphics card.
