French musician Séverin has released his new album Tout est vrai on October 9. The recording took place on the Isle of Wight, a British island known for its music festivals, with support from two former members of the band Revolver and Théodora Delilez, the bassist of Astral Bakers. The album blends melodies that recall the styles of Laurent Voulzy, a French singer-songwriter, and the Kinks, a British rock band known for their catchy tunes and witty lyrics. Contributions to the album come from Jérémie Arcache and Ambroise Willaume, who perform under the name Sage, as well as Canadian drummer Robbie Kuster. The tracks on Tout est vrai include "An idea of yours and Bocal-Poisson," "Sucrer des fraises," and the single "N'attends pas," which showcase a dynamic, almost urgent live energy. Séverin hopes that listeners will feel the emotional pulse of the music when they hear these songs. Among the album's highlights is "Petite solitude," a track that explores themes of contemporary blues, and "À ma place," which reflects on Séverin's experiences as a father. Another notable song, "Chercher les étoiles au milieu des satellites," includes the lyric "It is a religion without God/Always seeking the blue sky," highlighting the album's introspective and philosophical tone. A concert celebrating the release of Tout est vrai is scheduled to take place at La Cigale, a well-known music venue in Paris, on May 11, 2027. Fans and music enthusiasts are expected to attend the event, which will offer a live performance of the album's tracks.
