The Nikon D7500 camera body with an 18-140 mm lens kit is currently on sale for 949.99 € at Fnac.com, which is about 25% less than its usual price. This model sits between the older Nikon D7200 and the newer Nikon D500, using parts from both. It can be seen as a lighter, more professional version of the D500 or a significantly upgraded version of the D7200. While the Nikon D7500 is well-built and aesthetically pleasing, it does not bring many new features or innovations to the table. The Nikon D7500 has several notable strengths, including solid build quality, quick response times, excellent subject tracking, improved image quality with better sensitivity and shadow detail, a burst rate of 7.5 images per second, a tilting and touch screen, and connectivity options like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. However, it also has some drawbacks, such as a single SD card slot, limited video capabilities, a 2.2x crop factor when recording 4K or UHD video, reduced screen resolution, and slightly poor eye relief for those using glasses. The price drop was calculated by comparing the lowest price of the day with the average of the lowest prices offered by all merchants for the product last month. This calculation follows specific guidelines to ensure accuracy, which include excluding prices from stores with unclear VAT policies, particularly those offering products imported from China. This approach helps maintain a fair and consistent comparison across different retailers. The Nikon D7500 is a solid option for photographers looking for a reliable mid-range DSLR camera. While it may not have groundbreaking features, its combination of build quality, performance, and connectivity makes it a competitive choice in its class. The current discount could be an attractive opportunity for those considering an upgrade or purchase in this category.
