Shannon Bogues joins Le Boulazac Basket Dordogne

Le Boulazac Basket Dordogne has signed American forward Shannon Bogues to serve as a medical joker, replacing Pat Beverley, who is sidelined for four weeks. Bogues, 29, stands 1.90 meters tall and was born in Baltimore, where he trained in Killeen, Texas.

Bogues' college and early career

Bogues attended McLennan junior college before enrolling at Stephen F. Austin, where he had one of the best two-year careers in the program's recent history. His performance earned him a spot in the 2019 Summer League with the Phoenix Suns.

Bogues' professional journey

After playing in the G League with the Wisconsin Herd and the Capital City Go-Go, Bogues moved to Europe, where he played in Poland, Cyprus, Switzerland, and Hungary. In Switzerland, he averaged 16.4 points with Massagno, and in Hungary, he averaged 15.7 points with Duna Aszfalt.

Bogues' impact in France

In the 2024-2025 season, Bogues played for Alliance Sport Alsace in LNB Elite 2, finishing as the fourth-highest scorer of the regular season with an average of 17.7 points. He was selected to the best five of the championship and helped ASA reach the finals of the promotion playoffs.

Bogues' move to Le Mans and Greece

Bogues joined Le Mans Sarthe Basket for the 2025-2026 season, where he played in the Betclic Elite and the Basketball Champions League. He later moved to Greece, joining the Vikos Falcons, where he averaged 10 points in ESAKE, including a 16-point performance against Karditsa.

Bogues' role and strengths

Le Boulazac describes Bogues as an explosive combo-guard, primarily a scorer who can create his own shot and play both as a point guard and forward. Known for his tenacity on defense, Bogues is familiar with French basketball and its requirements, making him a valuable addition to the team during Beverley's absence.
