A new character named Melvil Sabari is set to join the French soap opera Demain nous appartient, played by actor Edouard Montoute. His character is expected to bring significant changes to the Sète police station, a central location in the show. Montoute, who is best known for his role in the popular Taxi comedy series, shared his early experiences on the set with the magazine Télé-Loisirs. He admitted to feeling a bit lost at times, noting that some of his co-stars had less experience but were more comfortable with the acting process. He thanked his fellow actors for their patience as he adapted to the role. Montoute explained that his decision to join Demain nous appartient was influenced by the character of Melvil and the artistic director of the series, Isabelle Regourd, who believed the role would suit him. When he first arrived on set, he referenced an ad for a famous fast-food chain, arriving as himself. Melvil's storyline involves interactions with two other characters, Aurore (played by Julie Debazac) and Sara (played by Camille Genau), who are investigating a case in Sète. Initially, they suspect Melvil, but they later discover his police ID card. Melvil is not alone in his arrival; he is accompanied by his family, adding another layer to his character's development. Montoute expressed his commitment to the series, saying, "It is not just an arch! And that's good, because I want to stay." He also acknowledged the entire Demain nous appartient team, including producers, extras, coaches, technicians, and fans. The new episodes of Demain nous appartient will air daily starting at 7:10 p.m. on the French television channel TF1. Viewers can also watch past episodes on the TF1+ platform, which offers a replay feature for those who missed the live broadcasts.
