A worker was tragically crushed to death in Virginia beneath the tour bus of the rock band Squeeze. The incident occurred in the parking area of Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts while the worker was preparing the bus for the band’s scheduled performance in the United States. According to police, the man was underneath the vehicle when a supporting structure failed, causing the bus to collapse on top of him. The worker has not yet been publicly identified. Squeeze confirmed the incident in a statement, expressing that they were “deeply saddened and shocked” by the tragedy, which resulted in the loss of a life. The band said that after discussions with the venue and authorities, they decided to cancel that evening’s performance. They added that they would work with the promoter and venue to explore the possibility of rescheduling the show and would provide further updates to ticket holders as soon as possible. Their thoughts remain with those affected by the incident. Wolf Trap National Park also confirmed the cancellation, stating there had been an accident involving a member of the community at the park that resulted in a loss of life. The park expressed that the evening’s show was canceled out of respect for the victim and those affected. Squeeze is currently on tour in the U.S., with upcoming performances scheduled at the Rose Music Center in Huber Heights, Ohio, and in Highland Park, Illinois, on Sunday. The band, formed in London in the 1970s, is well known for hits like "Cool for Cats" and "Up the Junction." Their most recent album, "Trixies," was released in March.
