Urban Pulse Uprising II, a performance organized by the Korean Cultural Center in collaboration with Rookie Paris, will take place on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at the Théâtre du Châtelet as part of the Urban Châtelet festival. This event marks the return of the Korean Cultural Center to the festival after editions in 2024 and 2025. The performance is organized to commemorate the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations between South Korea and France, celebrating the artistic and cultural connections between the two countries through urban dance. The event brings together two influential crews from the contemporary hip-hop scene: Wanted Posse, a major figure in French urban dance, and Just Jerk, one of the most recognized collectives on the South Korean scene. Just Jerk is known for its technical precision, exceptional synchronization, and powerful performances. The group gained international recognition through its victory at the Body Rock Dance Competition in 2016, its participation in America's Got Talent, and its win on the show Street Man Fighter in 2022. During their visit to France, the crew will also offer special dance classes, allowing the public to explore their choreographic style more deeply. Wanted Posse, a pioneer of French hip-hop, was founded in 1993 by Ahmada Bahassane. The collective has played a significant role in shaping the French urban dance scene by developing a unique style that blends hip-hop, house dance, and breakdance. It has been honored with awards such as the Battle Of The Year in 2001 and is known for its original creations and approach that emphasizes each dancer’s individual artistic expression. The collaboration between Wanted Posse and Just Jerk highlights the growing exchange between French and South Korean urban dance cultures. The performance promises to showcase the best of both traditions, offering audiences a dynamic fusion of styles and a celebration of the enduring friendship between France and South Korea.
