Jodie Comer, best known for her role in the hit series Killing Eve, has recently named Jessie Buckley and Harry Melling as the "greatest actors" of their generation. In a recent interview with the Independent for the video series Life in Pictures, Comer praised Buckley for her "fearless" performances and her ability to fully embody her characters. Buckley, who gained early recognition through her participation in the Andrew Lloyd Webber talent show I'd Do Anything, recently won an Academy Award for her role in Hamnet, a film directed by Chloé Zhao. She has also appeared in critically acclaimed projects such as I'm Thinking of Ending Things, The Lost Daughter, and the popular TV series Fargo. Comer also praised Harry Melling, who rose to fame as a child star in the Harry Potter film series, for his "integrity" and "strong intuition." She highlighted her recent collaboration with Melling on the body horror romance musical Stuffed, a project she was drawn to after learning of his involvement. Melling has since appeared in a variety of films, including The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, The Pale Blue Eye, and Pillion, showcasing his versatility as an actor. Reflecting on her career, Comer spoke about her friendship with Stephen Graham, a well-known British actor. Graham recommended her to his agent after they worked together on the Liverpool-set BBC series Good Cop. The two later starred together in the 2021 film Help, a drama centered around the challenges of the pandemic. Comer expressed her desire to collaborate with Graham again, calling him a "constant" in her life and a valued creative partner. Currently, Comer is starring in The Death of Robin Hood, a film directed by Otto Bathurst and featuring Hugh Jackman. The movie reimagines the classic tale with a modern twist and is now playing in theaters across the country.
