The Ecovacs T30C Omni Gen2 is a robot vacuum cleaner that includes a built-in maintenance station. This station handles tasks like emptying dust bins, washing and drying mops, and automatically refilling the robot’s water supply. Currently, it's available on the French online marketplace Cdiscount for 234.99 euros, a significant discount from its usual price of 699 euros, using the promotional code 15DES129. This offer represents a total saving of 465 euros compared to the brand’s listed price. The robot features a powerful suction of 25,000 Pa, capable of picking up fine dust, crumbs, and pet hair on both hard floors and carpets. Its OMNI station manages the cleaning process, including the automatic lifting of 9 mm cleaning pads to prevent them from getting wet on carpets. The robot is designed for everyday use, handling pet hair and stubborn stains, and is particularly effective in medium-sized homes ranging from 80 to 120 square meters. It can clean an entire area in one pass, with up to 180 minutes of battery life. The T30C Omni Gen2 uses LiDAR TrueMapping 2.0 technology to map areas of up to 96 square meters in about 8 minutes, identifying rooms and restricted zones. Its brush design helps prevent hair and pet fur from getting tangled. The robot uses two rotating pads with a continuous water supply, which provides better cleaning results than static wipes. However, its small internal water reservoir of 55 ml means it relies heavily on the OMNI station’s water supply. While the T30C Omni Gen2 offers similar features to models like the Roborock Q Revo, Dreame L10S Ultra, and Xiaomi X20+, it is often more affordable, especially during promotions. However, its obstacle detection system, called TrueDetect, is not as advanced as those using cameras and AI, which means users may need to clear the floor to avoid navigation errors. The OMNI station is also relatively large, and the robot's water capacity is limited. Despite these drawbacks, the T30C Omni Gen2 is a solid choice for households seeking an efficient, autonomous vacuum cleaner that works well on both hard floors and carpets, without breaking the budget. For larger homes or those with frequent clutter, a higher-end model might be more suitable.
