Orange has launched a new 5G+ Home internet service in France, offering high-speed internet without the need for traditional fiber-optic installation. The service is priced at 42.99 euros per month, with no long-term contract required. It includes a Flybox Wi-Fi 7 device, which can achieve download speeds of up to 1.5 gigabits per second and upload speeds of up to 250 megabits per second. The service relies on Orange's 5G+ network and the Flybox 5G+ device, with performance depending on being in a 5G+ covered area and having compatible equipment. The Flybox Wi-Fi 7 is designed to provide whole-home coverage and can connect up to 128 devices simultaneously via Wi-Fi. It includes three Ethernet ports for wired connections and is marketed for its ease of use, requiring only the plugging in of the device to create a Wi-Fi network without the need for an installation appointment. Orange claims improved coverage due to four Wi-Fi antennas and twice as many receivers for 5G+ signals. The connection is described as unlimited, allowing users to consume data without restrictions. The service also includes access to Orange TV, which provides up to 200 channels through the Orange TV app on smartphones, tablets, PCs, and Macs. An extra 5 euros per month is required to watch content directly on a television. Additionally, individuals aged 18 to 26 can access the service at a reduced rate of 29.99 euros per month, using a special code provided by Orange. The 5G+ Home service is available only in mainland France and requires coverage on the 5G+ network operating in the 3.5 GHz band. An activation fee of 29 euros is also applicable. The service is targeted at households looking for a fast, flexible internet connection with Wi-Fi 7 technology, high-speed performance, and unlimited usage. The lack of a contract and the discounted rate for young adults make the offer more attractive to a wider range of users.
