Eva Price, played by Catherine Tyldesley, was involved in a dramatic incident on the popular ITV soap opera Coronation Street when she was pushed down the stairs by Sam Blakeman, portrayed by Jude Riordan. The fall left Eva unconscious in the cellar, with Sam watching in distress. Although the scene was intense, upcoming episodes suggest that Eva is not likely to be permanently removed from the show. Recent images reveal her awake and sitting in a hospital bed with her family, and later standing outside the Rovers pub, indicating that she is recovering. In tomorrow’s episode, Debbie Webster, played by Sue Devaney, is expected to find Eva seemingly lifeless at the bottom of the stairs after being directed there by Sam. However, when Debbie goes outside to get help, she becomes confused, leaving Eva alone in the cellar until Glenda Shuttleworth, played by Jodie Prenger, arrives and calls an ambulance. The episode also revealed that Sam was the one who pushed Eva, but he is not immediately the main suspect in the investigation. DC Kit Green, played by Jacob Roberts, begins the investigation in the following week. At Eva’s hospital bedside, Ben Driscoll, played by Aaron McCusker, expresses concern. Kit questions both Debbie and Carl Webster, played by Jonathan Howard, about Eva’s injuries. Carl, known for his past dishonesty with the police, surprisingly tells the truth, stating that he offered to help Eva clean up because she wasn’t feeling well. Meanwhile, Debbie and Carl’s discussion about buying flowers and Carl’s sudden display of cash raise suspicions among Ronnie and Kevin Webster, played by Michael Le Vell, who believe Carl might have robbed the pub and accidentally pushed Eva. Carl is later questioned by the police again but continues to deny any involvement. When Ben tells Kevin that the police still don’t know who attacked Eva, someone finally confesses to the attack. However, it remains unclear whether it is Sam who is telling the truth or if someone else is trying to protect him.
