Four individuals have been charged with murder after a newborn baby girl was found stabbed to death in a home in Sheffield. The Crown Prosecution Service confirmed the incident occurred on Sunday. A 15-year-old girl, whose name cannot be disclosed due to her age, has also been charged with perverting the course of justice, a crime involving obstructing legal proceedings. The police were called to the Wincobank area of Sheffield on Sunday morning after concerns were raised about the safety of an infant. During a search of a property on Holywell Heights, officers discovered the baby’s body. A forensic post-mortem examination revealed the cause of death was due to stab wounds, indicating the child had been violently attacked. On Tuesday evening, four individuals were charged with three offenses, including murder. These charges were brought against Andrea Skopova, 20, Peter Horvath, 19, Peter Horvath, 38, and Nina Horvathova, 37. All four are currently in custody and are expected to appear at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday. In addition to those charged, two women aged 26 and 37 were arrested on suspicion of murder but have been released on bail. The case has drawn significant attention, with ongoing investigations aiming to uncover the full circumstances surrounding the tragic death of the infant. Authorities are seeking to bring those responsible to justice while ensuring the legal process proceeds fairly.
