A number of bus lines in Marseille were impacted by ongoing mobilization efforts on Tuesday, October 6. The T2 tram line was completely halted, while the T3 line operated only between Castellane and La Gaye. The student movement, which had been growing in strength, entered what was called a "third act" of mobilization on that day, with trade unions joining in support. In Marseille, a large demonstration was planned for 10:30 AM at the Réformés, as announced by the CGT union in the Bouches-du-Rhône region. Other teacher unions, including the FSU and Force ouvrière, encouraged their members to join the strike alongside the students. The city had seen violence during previous mobilizations, with buses and drivers targeted. Last week, a fire department vehicle was set on fire in front of the Saint-Exupéry high school in the 15th arrondissement. The metropolitan transport authority (RTM) reported widespread disruptions, with changes in service on about thirty bus lines. Some stops, especially those near schools, were skipped to reduce risks for both drivers and passengers. The affected lines included B3, B5, 3, 5, 15, 15S, 16, 17, 18, 22, 22S, 23, 25, 27, 29, 36, 36B, 38, 44, 45, 52, 54, 70, 72, 82S, 88, 96, and 107. Passengers could check the details of the disruptions and their progression on the RTM traffic information page. Trams were also affected, with the T2 line (Arenc - La Blancarde) coming to a complete stop and the T3 line (Gèze - La Gaye) running only between Castellane and La Gaye. The thirteen stations between Castellane and Gèze were not served, leaving many areas without tram service. The disruptions highlighted the growing impact of the mobilization on public transportation in the city.
