Steam Next Fest overview

The Steam Next Fest is an online event hosted by Valve, the company behind the Steam platform, where players can try out upcoming video games for free before their official release. It serves as a way for developers to showcase their projects and for gamers to explore new titles.

Event's popularity

The Steam Next Fest attracts millions of participants each year, with players from around the world accessing the event's free demos. It has become a major highlight in the gaming calendar, offering a diverse range of games across various genres.

AI-generated games concern

Some players have raised concerns about the increasing number of AI-generated games appearing in the Steam Next Fest. These games use artificial intelligence to create content, such as art, music, or gameplay elements, which some feel may detract from traditional game development.

Desire for a filter

A number of players have expressed a desire for a filter or option within the Steam Next Fest that would allow them to avoid AI-generated games. This would give them more control over the types of games they encounter during the event.
