The second Oasis concert planned for the Stade de France in July 2027 is now in doubt due to scheduled railway construction, according to recent reports. The prefecture, a regional administrative authority, has confirmed that it did not approve GL Events, the manager of the Stade de France, to hold a concert on July 24, 2027. This is because the agreement between the French government and GL Events prohibits such events on that date due to planned infrastructure work on the North axis of the stadium. The date has been known for a long time among the involved parties, according to the prefecture, which was contacted by the BFMTV news channel. Oasis officially announced their 2027 tour, which includes concerts in several European cities and the United States, as well as two shows at the Stade de France, back in September 2023. LiveNation, the company managing the tour for the Gallagher brothers, stated that it had received all necessary approvals a year ago and would not have announced the dates for ticket sales without those agreements. Fans who wish to attend the concerts can register on the official website until September 17, hoping to be selected through a lottery system. Tickets for the Oasis 2027 tour will be available for purchase on September 25, 26, and 27. The Gallagher brothers, Liam and Noel, reunited after years of public disputes and performed around forty concerts in 2025. A similar situation occurred in 2023 when Beyoncé's concert at the Stade de France faced potential scheduling conflicts due to railway work on the RER B, a regional train network. At the time, Valérie Pécresse, the president of the Ile-de-France region, denied that the region had any role in the issue, stating that railway work schedules are known two years in advance and that any errors were the responsibility of the event organizers. In July 2024, the SNCF, France’s national rail operator, temporarily halted its work on the RER B to accommodate concerts by The Weeknd on July 10 and BTS on July 18 at the Stade de France. This shows that while railway work can sometimes be adjusted for major events, the current situation with Oasis appears to be more complicated, as the scheduled date is already restricted by the existing concession agreement.
