Lens price drops by 12 percent

The Canon RF 50 mm f/1.8 STM lens is now available for 202.50 euros, which is 12 percent less than its suggested retail price of 229 euros. This discount is currently available through Amazon, which both sells and ships the product directly.

Designed for Canon EOS R cameras

The lens is built specifically for Canon EOS R hybrid cameras and uses an RF mount. Before purchasing, users should check if their specific camera model is compatible with this mount type.

Photography features and capabilities

With a maximum aperture of f/1.8, the lens is well-suited for low-light photography and creates a shallow depth of field. This allows for a blurred background that highlights the subject, with the effect depending on the distance to the subject and the background.

Lens size and focusing options

The Canon RF 50 mm f/1.8 STM lens is compact, weighing 160 grams and measuring 40.5 mm in length. It includes a step motor STM for smooth and quiet autofocus, along with a manual focus ring that can be adjusted based on the selector’s position. The lens also comes with front and rear caps to protect it during transport.
