Orange reports higher revenue and profit

Orange CI, which operates in Côte d'Ivoire, Burkina Faso, and Liberia, announced a rise in its revenues and profits for the first nine months of 2026. The company's total revenue reached 1,012 billion CFA francs, equivalent to about 1.7 billion USD, marking a 15.5% increase from the same period in 2025.

Profit growth and regional performance

Net profit for the company also increased to 141 billion CFA francs, representing an 18.3% rise compared to the previous year. This growth is driven by activities in all three countries, where mobile financial services have played a key role in boosting revenue.

Strategic initiatives in different regions

In Burkina Faso, Orange Money and the expansion of its network contribute significantly to revenue. In Liberia, the company benefits from a financial services development program launched in 2024. Additionally, voice calls and mobile internet services are growing, supported by an increasing number of customers.

Dominance in Côte d'Ivoire's mobile internet market

In Côte d'Ivoire, internet services accounted for nearly 60% of mobile phone revenue in the second quarter of 2026, according to the telecommunications regulatory authority (ARTCI). Orange generated more than half of this revenue, outperforming competitors such as MTN and Moov.

Increased investment and profitability

To support its growth, Orange has increased its investments across the three countries to nearly 189 billion CFA francs, a 20% rise compared to 157 billion CFA francs in the same period the previous year. This investment growth is higher than the revenue growth.

Operational improvements and future challenges

The company's operational profitability, measured by EBITDAaL, reached 360 billion CFA francs, a 18% increase. This represents about 35.6% of its revenue, up from 34.8% a year earlier. Despite this, the company faces challenges in attracting and retaining subscribers while competing with other operators investing in similar areas.
