Turkish Airlines and CFM International have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) regarding the purchase of more than 300 LEAP-1B engines, including spare parts. The agreement covers both new and existing engines, as well as those for leased aircraft.

Order includes 300 LEAP-1B engines

The order includes 300 additional LEAP-1B engines intended to equip 100 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft under a firm order and 50 optional aircraft. These engines are part of Turkish Airlines' plan to modernize its fleet with more fuel-efficient aircraft.

Long-term service agreement signed

A long-term service agreement has been signed between Turkish Airlines, its maintenance subsidiary Turkish Technic (MRO), and CFM International. This agreement will cover the entire fleet of LEAP-1B engines operated by Turkish Airlines.

Contract includes previously ordered engines

The contract includes previously ordered and delivered engines, spare parts, engines equipping leased aircraft, and potential additional orders. This ensures comprehensive support for all LEAP-1B engines currently in use or planned for future use.

Total engines operated by Turkish Airlines

In total, this represents more than 600 LEAP-1B engines operated by Turkish Airlines and its subsidiary AJet. The agreement covers both current operations and future expansion plans.
