Lou Jeanmonnot's ambitions for the winter

Lou Jeanmonnot, a French biathlete, has shared her goals for the upcoming 2026/2027 biathlon world cup, which will start in Kontiolahti, Finland. She aims to refine her skills and deliver a more consistent and effective performance than in previous seasons.

Strong performance during the Summer Tour

Jeanmonnot had a standout season during the Summer Tour, winning four races in a row and achieving a shooting score of 58 out of 60. This performance suggests she will remain a top contender in the winter competitions.

Focus on improving shooting speed

Jeanmonnot's Italian shooting coach, Patrick Favre, noted that she maintained a high level of training during the summer, despite some motivational challenges in the spring. Favre emphasized that the team has been working extensively to improve her shooting speed, which is one of her weaker areas.

Need for improvement in major competitions

Favre also mentioned that Jeanmonnot needs to perform better in high-stakes events like the World Championships and the Olympic Games. He will be closely watching her performance at the upcoming event in Otepää, Estonia, in February.

Other achievements and activities

In addition to her biathlon career, Jeanmonnot was crowned French champion of the pursuit in Arçon, adding to her 17 national titles. She has also been involved in other activities, such as participating in a football event for AS Levier and supporting a children's charity with a fundraising event. She and Quentin Fillon-Maillet have been named ambassadors of the International Guild of Cheesemakers.
