The Withings BodyFit, launched in April 2026, is a more affordable option compared to the company’s higher-end Body Scan 2 model. It offers a detailed segmental body analysis, dividing the body into six zones: right arm, left arm, trunk, both legs, and a global estimate. The scale uses a combination of four electrodes on a retractable handle and four more in the glass base to perform multifrequency impedance measurements. This technology helps assess over 40 health indicators, such as weight, body fat, muscle mass, visceral fat, body water, bone mass, basal metabolic rate, and cardiovascular health, all within 20 seconds. Withings claims the scale’s accuracy for body fat measurement is 99% when compared to DEXA (dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry) scans, a gold standard in body composition analysis, and 98% for muscle mass. Priced at 249.95 euros, the Withings BodyFit is currently on sale through Boulanger during the French Days 2026 event, with a 20-euro discount bringing the price down to 229.95 euros. The scale supports both WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, allowing users to sync data with the Health Mate app or third-party platforms like Apple Health or Google Fit. It can store up to eight user profiles, and "Position Control" technology automatically recognizes each user based on their standing position. The Health Mate app provides users with detailed progress tracking, personalized fitness goals, charts, and tailored recommendations for different health objectives, such as weight loss, fitness training, or managing GLP-1 treatments. Unlike the Body Scan 2, which features a screen on the handle, the BodyFit has a built-in color display in its base that shows essential data, eliminating the need for a smartphone. However, it lacks advanced medical functions like ECG (electrocardiogram) monitoring, which limits its use to fitness and body composition tracking rather than medical diagnostics. The French Days 2026 sale, which includes this scale and other tech products, runs until September 14, offering discounts across multiple retailers in France.
