Everton has reached an agreement to loan Jack Grealish from Manchester City for the remainder of the season. The 30-year-old England international is set to complete a medical with the Toffees, and the deal is expected to be finalized before the 23:00 BST transfer deadline. Grealish previously spent part of the last season on loan at Everton, making 20 appearances and contributing two goals and six assists before suffering a season-ending foot injury in January. He joined Manchester City from Aston Villa for £100 million in August 2021 but has only made two appearances this season, both as a substitute. In addition to Grealish, Everton has agreed to sign Ainsley Maitland-Niles from Lyon for £3 million. The 29-year-old, who previously played for Arsenal, is versatile and can play as a full-back or in midfield. He has earned five caps for England. Meanwhile, Scotland’s Nathan Patterson has completed a permanent move to Torino. Patterson joined Everton from Rangers in January 2022 and made 68 appearances across all competitions before his departure. Striker Beto has moved to Fiorentina in a £14.58 million transfer. The Guinea-Bissau international joined Everton from Udinese in 2023 and scored 25 goals in 113 appearances. His departure follows the £65 million move of Everton winger Iliman Ndiaye to Manchester City. The Toffees are also reportedly close to signing Folarin Balogun from Monaco in a £40 million deal. However, their attempt to re-sign Richarlison from Tottenham has stalled due to disagreements over personal terms. Everton had also been linked with Dutch full-back Kenny Tete, with a proposed £9.4 million move from Fulham contingent on Fulham finding a suitable replacement. The club is set to host Manchester United in a Premier League match on Sunday at 14:00 BST.
