A Skyrock executive has filed a new complaint against rapper Kaïs Zouaoui, known by his stage name KZS, for online harassment and defamation, according to reports. The victim, Sylvain*, 41 years old and a coordinator at Skyrock, filed the complaint on August 5, as revealed by his lawyer, Me May-Sarah Vogelhut, to the French news outlet 20 Minutes. The rapper is already under investigation for a home invasion that occurred on May 5 in Paris, at Sylvain’s home. During the incident, Sylvain was physically assaulted, subjected to homophobic insults, and had his personal belongings stolen. Since the media coverage of the case, Sylvain has faced intense cyberbullying online.
The two men first met in Marseille in June 2021 during a professional trip by the Skyrock executive. An intimate relationship developed between them, and they met several times in Paris in 2022 before losing contact. They reconnected at the end of 2025 through the Snapchat application. On May 5, KZS informed Sylvain of his presence in Paris with a friend for an intimate meeting. Sylvain invited them to his home. When the rapper and his friend arrived around 9:30 PM, the friend left briefly, claiming to go to buy alcohol. When he returned, he was with two individuals wearing hoods and gloves.
Inside the apartment, the four men attacked Sylvain, searched the premises, and stole his credit card, phone, tablet, identification documents, and five gold records. According to the findings of investigators from the 3rd district of the judicial police (DPJ), the attack was marked by homophobia. The aggressors filmed Sylvain, humiliated him, and used homophobic slurs. The victim experienced three days of work absence due to trauma and has since been struggling with the emotional impact of the incident.
In custody and on social media, KZS has defended himself by blaming Sylvain for remarks he made about his 14-year-old brother. Sylvain told the police he had only commented on a photo of KZS and the boy on a social network. His lawyer, Me Vogelhut, stated that Sylvain "totally disputes" having made advances to the teenager.
Following the August 2024 revelation of the judicial proceedings by Le Parisien, the conflict has escalated online. In his complaint, Sylvain explains that KZS has posted numerous accusations of rape and pedophilia on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and X. The rapper has also sent private messages to several figures in the rap scene and shared a call from an influencer for a "general mobilization" in front of Skyrock's offices.
Sylvain's lawyer described the situation as a "lynching movement" on social media, where the accused is using the platform to attack Sylvain while he is the actual victim. Sylvain has been subjected to a "double punishment," according to his lawyer, as a form of revenge for filing a complaint against his attackers. The lawyer also mentioned calls for a demonstration in front of Sylvain’s workplace to get him fired.
Faced with the intensity of the online attacks, particularly after some messages were shared by rapper Booba, who has a history of cyberbullying convictions, Sylvain had to close all his social media accounts on the advice of investigators and his lawyer. The lawyer warned that legal action will not stop here: "We will go all the way to ensure that every perpetrator of this cyberbullying is punished." The lawyer for KZS, Me Karim Morand-Lahouazi, did not respond to requests from 20 Minutes.
