During French Week, Amazon offers Prime members a special discount code, FRPRIME15, which reduces the price of the Logitech G915 X Lightspeed TKL keyboard to 124.99 €, down from its usual 179.95 €. The offer is valid until September 28 and is reserved for Amazon Prime subscribers. This particular model features GL Clicky switches, which produce a distinct clicking sound, and an AZERTY layout, commonly used in France. The keyboard follows the design of the earlier G915 model launched in 2019, but includes improvements such as PBT keycaps, a USB-C port, and refined switches. The G915 X Lightspeed TKL is designed for gamers who want a compact keyboard that doesn’t take up much space on a desk. It lacks a numeric keypad and is only 22.6 mm thick, allowing more room for a mouse, which is especially useful in shooting or MOBA games. The keyboard can connect in three ways: via a dedicated Lightspeed 2.4 GHz receiver for gaming, Bluetooth for secondary devices, or a USB-C cable for charging while playing. Logitech claims it can last up to 42 hours with full backlighting on, 100 hours with half brightness, and up to 1,000 hours when the lights are off. The keyboard uses low-profile GL switches, which have a total travel distance of 3.2 mm and activate at 1.3 mm with a force of 45 grams. This short travel distance helps reduce finger movement between commands, which is beneficial during fast-paced gaming. It also includes a metal volume wheel, multimedia keys, and a game mode button to keep players in the game without interruptions. Through the G HUB software, users can assign up to 15 functions to a single key, adding to the keyboard’s versatility. The G915 X is ideal for users who switch between gaming and work on the same PC, as it offers Bluetooth connectivity for secondary devices. However, the GL Clicky switches produce an audible click with each keystroke, which might be disruptive in shared spaces or during video calls. The absence of a numeric keypad also makes it less suitable for those who frequently type numbers. Compared to the more expensive G515, the G915 X offers an aluminum chassis and longer battery life but lacks the magnetic switches found in some competing models. At 124.99 €, it’s even cheaper than the G515’s original price, making it a cost-effective option for those seeking a high-end wireless keyboard. However, the discount is only available to Prime members with the correct code applied at checkout.
