Brindis d'or ceremony date set

The Brindis d'or ceremony is scheduled for Monday, November 23, 2026, in Paris. This edition will honor Colombia, as well as all defense forces of bullfighting, who work daily for the preservation of this exceptional cultural heritage.

Categories and voting process

The event will present nine categories divided into three major themes. Each of these categories will include three to five nominees submitted to the vote of the public and the jury, which will take place one month before the ceremony. The person receiving the most votes will be named the winner of the prize.

Special focus on Colombia and bullfighting

This year, the Brindis d'or wished to honor two major figures of bullfighting with a special tribute to Colombia, which will see bullfighting disappear in 2027, and a focus on the "Fundación de Toros de Lidia" Spanish foundation, which works for the defense of bullfighting culture. They will both be accompanied by the new board of the UVTF, which will take office following the 2026 municipal elections, and ahead of the Paris mayors' fair.

César Rincón and Victorino Martín's legacy

César Rincón is one of the bullfighters who has most marked the history of bullfighting of Victorino Martín. He faced them successfully on several occasions, contributing to the legend of the two names, notably in Madrid and at the major Spanish fairs.

Jury composition

The jury of the third edition of the Brindis d'or consists of ten people, who have been chosen for the variety and richness of their passion for bullfighting. They come from different regions, different ages, different passions and reflect the entire diversity of bullfighting.

The hosts will form a pair because it is a duo (of whom only one part is known, Arnaud Agnel) that will be discovered. To participate in the evening, it is here that it happens, but if you do not plan to go to Paris, vote anyway, and that, it is here!
