Just a few weeks ago, the midrange OLED television market was dominated by two major players: LG and Samsung. Now, with Sony’s recent announcement of its Bravia 6 and Roku’s debut of its first-ever OLED TV, the competition is heating up. Roku has launched the Roku Pro Series, a new line of OLED TVs that joins the growing list of options for consumers seeking high-quality, high-performance displays.
The Roku Pro Series features a 120Hz panel, which means it can display up to 120 frames per second for smoother motion, especially in gaming and sports. It includes four HDMI 2.1 ports, which support higher bandwidth for next-gen consoles and gaming devices. The TV also supports Dolby Vision and HDR10 Plus, two high dynamic range formats that enhance color and contrast. Additionally, it includes auto low latency mode, FreeSync Premium for smoother gaming, and variable refresh rate (VRR) technology, which helps reduce screen tearing during gameplay. A backlit Roku remote is included, and a remote finder button on the TV helps users locate their remote when it goes missing.
The Roku Pro Series LX, set to launch next month, builds on the original Pro Series with several upgrades. It is about twice as bright, making it better suited for brighter rooms, and supports 144Hz VRR for even smoother gaming performance. It also includes a polarizer, which helps reduce screen reflections and glare, improving visibility in well-lit environments. Both models use the Roku operating system, which is known for its user-friendly interface and access to a wide range of streaming apps.
The Roku Pro Series is available exclusively on Amazon for 2026, with 55- and 65-inch sizes starting at $999. The Pro Series LX will be available in October, starting at $1,299 for the 55-inch model and $1,599 for the 65-inch version. These new OLED options from Roku are expected to bring more competition to the market, offering consumers additional choices in high-end home entertainment.
