Ocon receives support from Hamilton

A video showing Hamilton approaching Ocon circulated on social media after the Austin race. Though the conversation was not clearly visible, Ocon confirmed Hamilton wanted to show his support. Ocon had previously mentioned that Hamilton visited him in Austin and they discussed the situation.

Limited support from fellow drivers

Ocon revealed that only Lewis Hamilton and Lance Stroll had personally contacted him since his departure was announced. He noted this highlighted the importance of their support during a difficult time. Ocon and Hamilton first met in 2019 when Ocon was a reserve driver at Mercedes.

Ocon seeks a Formula 1 role

Despite his experience and a Grand Prix victory, Ocon faces a challenging transfer market with few full-time opportunities. He has stated he does not want to leave Formula 1 if no seat becomes available in 2027.
