Samsung has introduced a more affordable version of its Galaxy Book 6 laptop, priced at $799, aiming to provide a competitive alternative to Apple’s MacBook Neo. This new model is part of Samsung’s broader Galaxy Book 6 series, which was first announced at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) earlier this year. The initial models in the lineup launched in the U.S. in March, with the basic Galaxy Book 6 starting at $1,050. In June, Samsung added a higher-end variant powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X2 Elite processor, priced at $2,100. The newly released Galaxy Book 6 features either an Intel Core 3 or Core 5 processor, depending on the market and configuration. Its final price is influenced by storage options—256GB, 512GB, or 1TB—and RAM choices of 8GB or 16GB. The laptop includes a 14-inch display with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels and an anti-glare finish, offering up to 25 hours of battery life on a single charge. It also supports fast charging, capable of reaching 45W power, allowing users to quickly recharge the device. Connectivity options include two USB Type-C ports, one USB Type-A port, an HDMI 1.4 port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. This Galaxy Book 6 also includes AI-powered features designed to enhance user experience. For example, AI Select allows users to quickly select content on the screen, while Note Assist summarizes notes and highlights key information for later review. As a Galaxy device, it integrates seamlessly with other Galaxy products, enabling users to share and access files across their devices and use a Galaxy Tab as an extended display. These features reflect the growing trend of incorporating artificial intelligence into everyday devices to improve productivity and convenience. The new Galaxy Book 6 is available in Gray and Violet Silver, with the latter being a new color option introduced for the first time in the series. It is currently available in select markets, offering consumers a more budget-friendly option within Samsung’s premium laptop lineup.
