On October 9, 2026, students from the Lycée Marcellin-Berthelot in Questembert, Morbihan, gathered to present their concerns to local elected officials. This marked the first official student exchange session aimed at bringing student voices into political discussions. Approximately twenty students volunteered to organize and deliver the statements, showing a strong commitment to engaging with local governance. The meeting, which lasted over two hours, covered a range of topics affecting both the local community and the country as a whole. The students expressed their views on issues such as education policies, environmental concerns, and social inequalities. They hoped that by sharing their perspectives directly with elected officials, their concerns would be heard and considered at higher levels of government. The event took place in a town hall setting, allowing for a direct dialogue between the students and the officials. This initiative reflects a growing trend among young people to take a more active role in public affairs and to influence policy decisions that affect their lives. It also highlights the importance of youth engagement in democratic processes. The students emphasized that their goal was not only to voice their opinions but also to foster a better understanding between the younger generation and local leaders. By participating in this exchange, they aimed to build a foundation for future collaboration and to ensure that their voices continue to be part of the political conversation.
