The Image Museum in Épinal is inviting visitors to explore maritime themes through its exhibition Mer en vue: Myths, Sciences and Maritime Adventures, which will be open from October 31, 2026, to May 23, 2027. Curated by Émilien Lefèvre, the exhibition will showcase a wide range of images, objects, and documents that highlight the sea's influence on human imagination, including ship models, depictions of marine life, and shipwrecks. In Paris, the Enki Bilal Foundation will host an exhibition titled Des Dieux et des Hommes from December 3, 2026, to May 9, 2027. This exhibition will feature the works of Philippe Druillet and Enki Bilal, two influential figures in French comics. The event aims to contrast their unique artistic styles and imaginative worlds. The Cat Museum of Philippe Geluck, which was originally planned for Brussels, has been reimagined as a smaller project set to open in early 2028 in Ixelles, within the former Demeuldre-Coché porcelain factory. This new version will be entirely funded by private resources. The Bibliothèque nationale de France (BnF) will display the Codex Boturini until December 13, 2026, as part of a cross-presentation with Mexico to celebrate the bicentenary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The Codex Azcatitlan will be on display in Mexico until December 6, 2026. A new comics gallery specializing in the 9th art, a term used to describe comics as an art form, opened on September 16, 2026, at 19 rue Racine in Paris. Antoine Mathon plans to feature both classic and contemporary artists, with a special retrospective dedicated to Yves Chaland.
