New building in Montpellier
A new building with distinctive architecture is under construction in the Cambacérès neighborhood in Montpellier. The structure is part of the future headquarters of Crédit Agricole du Languedoc, a regional bank.Selected construction group
The Crédit Agricole du Languedoc has selected the NGE (New Generation of Entrepreneurs) group to carry out the main macro-lot of its future headquarters, named Le Sillon. This choice reflects the bank's focus on modern and sustainable construction practices.Design and layout
This 25,571 square meter complex, designed by the DREAM (Dimitri Roussel Ensemble Architecture Métropole) architecture firm, will take the form of a tertiary campus composed of three buildings that can reach seven floors above ground level (R+7). The layout is intended to support both office and collaborative work environments.Occupancy and purpose
The campus will accommodate nearly 1,500 people, including the teams of Crédit Agricole du Languedoc. The project aims to serve as a central hub for the bank's operations and regional activities.Environmental ambitions
The project aims to stand out through its environmental ambitions. The campus has obtained the Or level of the Occitanie Sustainable Building initiative in the design phase and must meet the requirements of the RE2020 environmental regulation, which governs, among other things, the energy performance and carbon footprint of new constructions.Sustainable construction methods
To limit the environmental impact of the building, the designers have favored a mixed structure combining wood and concrete. The buildings will be supported by a frame made of concrete columns and beams, completed by 14,000 square meters of mixed wood-concrete floors. The facades will also include 1,700 square meters of wood, with insulation made of Camargue wheat straw.Use of local materials
The project also plans to use regional massive stone, emphasizing the use of locally sourced materials to reduce the environmental impact and support the local economy.
