New French dubbing for Dragon Ball Daima

Two years after its release on streaming platforms, Dragon Ball Daima has finally arrived on French television with a new French dubbing. This dubbing is not the original one, marking a significant change in the series' history with its French version.

First voices revealed on Gulli

The first extracts of the series were broadcast on the Gulli channel, revealing the voices of Goku, Krillin, and their companions. The change has surprised many, as Brigitte Lecordier and other members of the distribution team, who have been responsible for the dubbing for nearly 40 years, are not involved.

New cast for the French version

Instead, Belgians have been preferred for the French dubbing of Dragon Ball Daima. The new cast includes Pierre Lognay as Goku (adult), Sophie Pyronnet as Goku (child), Matteo Marchese as Vegeta (child), and others. Sophie Pyronnet, the new voice of young Goku, has previously dubbed characters in series such as Beyblade and Gumball, making her potentially familiar to the Gulli audience.

Fan reactions and original cast's response

The change has caused distress among fans, with some questioning the decision on social media, asking, "But why not Brigitte Lecordier?" Others expressed their disappointment, stating, "My heart hurts for not having heard Brigitte Lecordier on young Goku." Brigitte Lecordier, who has been the voice of young Goku since his first appearance in France, shared her reaction along with her colleagues on social media, stating, "We are stunned, we are speechless!"

Broadcast schedule announced

The series will be broadcast starting next month on Gulli, channel 12 of the TNT. The first episodes will air starting November 4, 2026, every Wednesday morning at 9:15 a.m.
