Event draws large audience

Nearly 300 people attended Innov’Action, an event organized by the Chambre d'agriculture de Haute-Loire at the GAEC du Pont de Peyre in Monlet on October 15. The gathering brought together farmers, agricultural professionals, high school students, and university students to explore ways to improve work organization in farming.

Workshops highlight practical solutions

The event featured six workshops aimed at providing concrete solutions for improving daily work in agriculture. These sessions allowed participants to see, understand, and exchange ideas about innovations and equipment in real conditions, focusing on how they could be applied on farms.

Technologies for livestock farming

Workshops included solutions for facilitating work in livestock farming, such as milk taxis, mobile DAC, automation, forage pushers and scrapers, quick hitching, and animal monitoring tools. These tools included monitoring systems, cameras, and systems for detecting estrus, calving, or rumination, helping farmers track herds and anticipate interventions.

Innovations in plant production

In plant production, drone seeding was discussed as a new practice involving technology in farms. Other technologies presented included virtual fences, herding dogs, and an autonomous portal for the diffusion of bio-repellents for cattle, showing how innovation is expanding across different areas of agriculture.

Successful demonstrations and discussions

Demonstrations were successful, allowing participants to observe the equipment in operation and discuss their uses, advantages, and adaptation to the needs of farmers. The event emphasized that working better in agriculture is not only about technology but also about finding solutions adapted to each farm to save time, reduce physical strain, and improve daily life.

Event hosted by local leaders

Yannick Fialip, president of the Chambre d'agriculture de Haute-Loire, and Laurine Rousset, a farmer at the GAEC du Pont de Peyre, hosted the event. Fialip praised the workshops and thanked the associates for their hospitality, highlighting that the day was marked by innovation, sharing, and quality of life at work.
