Reza-Tofighi stays in France regardless of LFI win

Amir Reza-Tofighi, president of the Entrepreneurs organization, said he would remain in France even if the left-wing party La France Insoumise (LFI) wins the presidential election. He expressed pride in being French and a commitment to supporting economic growth and businesses, no matter the political outcome.

Medef president warns of potential exodus

This statement came after Medef president Patrick Martin suggested that a potential LFI victory in 2027 might lead some business leaders to consider leaving France or losing motivation in their work. His comments highlight concerns among business leaders about the impact of political changes on the economy.

Consultation initiative launched for economic ideas

Reza-Tofighi announced a "large consultation" initiative to collect ideas from business leaders and employees on growth, wages, and public finances. The initiative, launched in late August, includes an online platform and 110 meetings across France, aiming to involve workers and economists in shaping new economic strategies.

Growth and wealth redistribution emphasized

During the launch, Reza-Tofighi stressed the importance of growth for wealth redistribution, noting that few candidates are addressing this issue. He argued that creating economic growth is essential to ensure fair distribution of wealth and long-term stability.

Purchasing power and labor costs discussed

Reza-Tofighi also highlighted the need to increase wages without burdening companies, suggesting this would require a "massive reduction in the cost of labor." He emphasized the serious state of public finances and called for reforms, including adjusting the retirement age to match life expectancy and improve the sustainability of the social system.

Challenges in ecological, digital, and demographic areas

Other priorities include major transitions in ecological, digital, and demographic areas, as well as challenges from global competition, especially from China. These topics reflect the complex economic and social issues facing France in the coming years.
