Celine Dion has shared details about her intense physical training program as she prepares for her upcoming concerts. The program includes 90-minute Pilates sessions three times a week and ballet classes twice a week, totaling five training sessions per week. This routine is designed to help her meet the physical demands of performing on stage for long periods, which involves both singing and dancing. Lucie Simoen, a sports coach who has analyzed Dion's training, explained that the combination of Pilates and dance is especially effective for someone returning to the stage. Pilates improves motor control, core stability, mobility, balance, and muscular endurance, while ballet provides specific training for the movements required on stage, including coordination, memorization of choreography, and dynamic physical effort. Simoen emphasized that while Dion's routine is tailored to her specific needs, it might not be suitable for everyone. She warned against trying to follow such an intensive program right away, especially for those new to exercise. Instead, she recommended starting with 2 or 3 sessions per week to allow the body time to adjust. Simoen also encouraged incorporating cardiovascular activities like cycling, swimming, running, or brisk walking, along with everyday physical activities such as walking, taking the stairs, and moving regularly throughout the day. Dion revealed the details of her training in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar France, confirming that the program is designed to ensure she can perform at her best starting from September 12, 2026. While her routine may inspire others to get in shape, Simoen stressed the importance of adapting such programs to individual needs and abilities to ensure safety and effectiveness.
