Innov’ACTION 976 2026 seeks creative solutions for Mayotte’s development, focusing on biodiversity and the blue economy, with prizes and support for winners.
Competition for innovative projects in Mayotte
The Agence de Développement et d’Innovation de Mayotte (ADIM), with support from the Departmental Council, is organizing the 2026 edition of Innov’ACTION 976. This competition helps identify and support innovative projects that can contribute to the development of Mayotte, an island in the Indian Ocean.Focus on local adaptation and diverse innovation
The competition does not require inventing new technology. It accepts any new solution or significantly improved approach that is adapted to Mayotte’s specific context, even if the idea already exists elsewhere. Innovation can be technological, social, environmental, commercial, or related to usage, organization, or economic models.Priority sectors and application deadline
This year, the competition emphasizes the preservation and promotion of biodiversity and the blue economy, which includes marine and coastal resources, ecosystems, and water management. Projects in these areas may receive a 5-point bonus from the jury. Other sectors like renewable energy, mobility, and digital technology are also welcome. Applications are open until October 24, 2026, at midnight (Mayotte time), via the website www.semaine-innovation-976.fr.Competition schedule and support for finalists
From October 28 to 30, 2026, ten finalists will be coached at the Technopole de Mayotte. Five winners will each receive 10,000 euros and support from ADIM and its partners. Pre-selected candidates will be notified by email at least three days before the competition.Competition structure and evaluation criteria
The competition begins on October 28 with project presentations, after which ten finalists are selected. From October 29 to 30, these finalists will work with experts and coaches. On October 30, each finalist has five minutes to pitch their project to a grand jury. The jury will evaluate the project’s innovation, relevance to Mayotte, feasibility, team capability, social and environmental impacts, and the quality of the pitch.Event details and contact information
