The Ultimea X Pro has been introduced as one of the most ambitious wireless home cinema systems ever developed. Unlike traditional sound systems, which often rely on wired connections, the X Pro combines the flexibility of wireless technology with the high-quality acoustics of a traditional multichannel setup. It can support up to 11.8.8 channels, which means it can deliver sound from 11 front, 8 surround, and 8 vertical channels—something rarely seen in wireless systems. This configuration allows for a highly immersive audio experience, using multiple speakers and subwoofers to create a three-dimensional soundscape. At the heart of the system is a massive soundbar measuring 1.60 meters in length, which houses nine front speakers, including three tweeters and a dedicated center channel speaker. Additional speakers are placed at the ends of the soundbar for side channels, while four upward-firing speakers project sound toward the ceiling to simulate height channels. Surrounding the listening area are four large, library-style speakers, each equipped with three acoustic surfaces. These are strategically placed behind and on the sides of the listener to provide precise sound localization and a more enveloping audio experience than conventional satellite speakers. The most impressive feature of the X Pro is its bass section. In the 11.8.8 configuration, the system includes four subwoofers, each with two 30 cm woofers and bass reflex ports, placed at the corners of the room. This setup is designed for large spaces and delivers deep, powerful bass that is uncommon in most soundbars. Despite the complexity of the system, all components communicate wirelessly with the soundbar, eliminating the need for a tangle of cables. This wireless communication allows users to place speakers anywhere in the room without compromising sound quality. Ultimea plans to offer multiple configurations to suit different room sizes and budgets. Starting with a 9.2.6 setup and moving up to the 11.8.8 system, the company provides a room configuration tool on its website to help users choose the best setup. The X Pro also includes features like automatic acoustic calibration, AI-powered dialogue enhancement, and channel-specific adjustments via a mobile app. Connectivity options include traditional inputs like optical and HDMI, as well as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi for streaming services. The system is expected to launch on Kickstarter in February 2027, with the top-tier 11.8.8 model priced around 10,000 euros.
