Mason looks ahead to Koppenbergcross

Mason expressed satisfaction with his performance and is already focusing on the upcoming Koppenbergcross on Sunday, November 1st. He described the event as "one of the most technical cross-country races."

Challenging conditions at Koppenbergcross

Mason noted that the race was "very difficult, as expected," and that he was "at my limit." He mentioned he would have liked to accelerate more but could not, and he was happy he did not make too many mistakes.

Technical and dangerous race conditions

He added that in recent weeks, many riders have had problems and fallen, and that everyone is at their limit with small gaps between riders. Mason said he almost fell several times, calling these "small mistakes," and noted that "there are roots everywhere."

Mason on Mathieu van der Poel's return

Regarding the potential return of Mathieu van der Poel, Mason said, "I have no idea. We will see his plans. It wouldn't change much for me." He emphasized his desire to be at his best level for as long as possible.

European Championships as a major goal

Mason mentioned the European Championships as a big goal, noting he finished fifth last year and second a few years ago. He also stated that if he is in good shape for the Koppenbergcross, he can be in good shape seven days later for the European Championships.
