French team named for cyclo-cross event

With less than two weeks until the European Cyclo-cross Championships in Zeddam, Netherlands, the French selection has been announced by François Trarieux, the head of the national team.

Challenges in selection process

The selection process was particularly challenging due to the early stage of the season, which has left some key athletes unavailable or not yet in peak form, making decisions more difficult for the coaching staff.

Elite Women's standout

In the Elite Women's category, Amandine Fouquenet has been a standout selection, with her performance in recent competitions making her a key player for the team.

Men's team faces gaps

On the men's side, the absence of Clément Venturini since February 2025 remains a significant gap, and the duo Romain Debord and Rémi Lelandais will not be able to fully compensate for this loss in experience and strength.

Junior Men's favorite

In the Men's Junior category, Aubin Sparfel is considered a favorite and is expected to perform well, bringing a strong presence to the team.

Junior Women's progress

Célia Géry has shown improvement from a full season on the road, which has made her a valuable addition to the Junior Women's team, where she is expected to contribute significantly.

Junior athletes shine in early rounds

Antoine Clémente (AC Cosnac), Victor Devos (Soudal Quick-Step U19), and Noémie Jurado Roumieux (Team U LH) have demonstrated their strengths in the first two rounds of the French Cup in Nommay on October 24 and 25, earning their spots in the national team.

Complete Junior Women's team

The complete selections for Juniors Women include Lucie Elizalde (AS Bike), Lana Le Guilloux (OC Locminé), Justine Mesnard (AS Bike), and Noémie Jurado Roumieux (Team U LH), each bringing different strengths to the team.

Full Junior Men's roster

For Juniors Men, the team includes Antoine Clément (AC Cosnac), Enzo Conan (VS Scaër), Victor Devos (Soudal Quick-Step U19), Lilian Morinière (CIC U Nantes), and Batiste Vanaelst (En Piste), forming a competitive group for the championships.

Elite Women's team confirmed

In the Elite Women's category, Hélène Clauzel (777TV CX Team), Lauriane Durauffourg (VC Ornans), and Amandine Fouquenet (Pauwels Sauzen-Altez Industriebouw) have been chosen, representing a mix of experience and emerging talent.
