Price reduction for Reolink Duo 2 PoE camera

The Reolink Duo 2 PoE surveillance camera is currently available for 127.49 euros, representing a 20% discount compared to its usual price, according to Rick (@lesnums_bonplan). The camera is now priced below 150 euros on Amazon Marketplace and is described as the best product in the comparison.

Features and limitations of the camera

The Reolink Duo 2 features excellent image quality, numerous settings, and very effective motion detection. However, the image is slightly compressed, and it is not possible to completely disable detection. The camera also lacks wall mount support and does not offer cloud storage for its battery-free version.

Installation and price calculation

The installation process is described as slightly complicated, and continuous monitoring is required to enjoy the audio experience. The reported price drop is calculated by comparing the lowest price of the day with the average of the lowest prices practiced by all merchants for the product last month, with safety rules to exclude prices from stores whose VAT policy is not clear, referred to as "gray" stores, typically in the case of imports from China.

Alternative camera option

An alternative option, the Ezviz HB8 2K+, is noted for its ease of installation as a battery-powered camera, without compromising on features. Its motorized head allows it to monitor a wide perimeter, and its color night vision is an additional advantage. The image quality is very good, and detection is also very effective. However, its artificial intelligence is slightly less advanced than on other models.
