Camille Cottin joins new film project
Camille Cottin, known for her role in Les Misérables and the Netflix film Dix pour cent, is set to star in a new feature film titled Les Trois filles d'Eléonore Wagner. This will be her third collaboration with director Nathan Ambrosioni, following Toni en famille and Les enfants vont bien. New cast members confirmed
Cottin will be joined by Noémie Merlant and Manon Clavel, who will play her sisters in the film. Agnès Jaoui and Frédéric Pierrot will portray her parents, while additional cast members include Guillaume Pottier, Sawsan Abes, and Olivia Côte. Film described as a Christmas comedy
The film, based on an original screenplay by Ambrosioni, is described as a comforting Christmas film, differing from the dramatic tone of his previous works. Ambrosioni mentioned that he wrote the screenplay specifically with the casting in mind. Plot centers on family dynamics
The story follows Stéphanie (Cottin), Caroline (Merlant), and Maxime (Pottier) as they reunite for Christmas at their parents’ home. The family dynamics shift when Eléonore (Jaoui) reveals her intention to divorce, leading to unexpected challenges for the Wagner family. Inspired by 80s and 90s cinema
Ambrosioni described the film as a "very happy female ensemble comedy," inspired by Fleabag and Winter Break. The film will explore themes of family ties and empathy, with a comforting atmosphere reminiscent of the 80s and 90s. It will include 35 mm film shooting and existing Christmas songs. Filming schedule and production team
Principal photography is set to begin on November 3 in Lille and will run until December 17. Ambrosioni will work with the same production team as Les Enfants vont bien, including producer Nicolas Dumont and composer Alexandre de la Baume. The film is scheduled for release in cinemas at the end of 2027.
